Very early, hand-painted wooden sign for men’s fancy shoes. Note: Can’t tell for sure if it was made in this size or if it was possibly cut down at bottom long ago from a larger sign (cut line at bottom has natural aged darkening and if it was trimmed, it was done long ago). Impressive looking piece has a beautiful, rich patina to its all original paint surface, w/ a great folk art look (a strong C. 8++).
