Venable Tobacco Sign: Important, very early stone litho paper advertising sign for S. W. Venable Co.’s Tobacco featuring highly detailed color graphic images of factory, angels, flowers, flags, etc. (Hatch Litho, New York). Sign has good color and a decent overall look w/ some age tone darkening, scuffing in outer margins and a few scattered repairs. Interesting and unusual piece, in attractive period frame (matting and a little restoration would improve appearance to an 8+/-).
