Duke’s Cross Cut Cigarettes Cards: Very early, colorful and graphic cardboard box for Duke & Son’s Cross-Cut Cigarettes featuring color graphic image of men sawing large logs (Series 1883 tax stamp on back). Inside box are 59 perfectly fitted fine early matched playing cards which were probably insert cards from these cigarette packs (when consumer collected 52 individual insert cards they could turn them in for a complete full deck). Box has some typical soiling and wear, but overall is very attractive, Cards mostly excellent (deck not complete).
