Lucky Strike Cigarettes Prototype Proof Labels: Interesting historical Lucky Strike Cigarettes lot includes back and forth 1926 and 1928 in-house detailed instructional archived letters from the Chicago printing Co. Cuneo Press regarding an initial trial printing run of 250,000 Luck Strike cigarette pack labels, which they hoped might eventually lead to future orders of 25-30 million labels a month. A two page letter includes two attached cigarette pack proof samples w/ detailed meticulous instructions,including changes to lettering, the circles on pack, etc. A second 1928 file letter includes lettering changes and attached red and black color reference samples. Lot also includes a 1926 letter from American Tobacco approving a trial run of 250,000 labels at a price of 70¢ per thousand labels. Excellent overall.
