Turtle Spittoon: Unusual, very early, figural turtle shaped metal spittoon, w/ nice detailing and a great overall look. A neat, high quality piece, w/ a heavy cast iron base and a rich, nicely aged copper shell on top (note: stepping on his head mechanically lifts the shell to reveal the cuspidor inside). Excellent appearance, w/ some general light expected wear from use (note: hinge mechanism on inside has been re-attached using an epoxy type resin).
