Scarce, ca. 1888 Allen & Ginter Cigarettes collectors’ card album, featuring full color card images inside (pages show stunning full color images of Co.’s collectible sports champions insert cards). These albums were obtained by saving and redeeming fifty coupons that were found inside Co.’s cigarette boxes and were made for mounting cards from the set. Has strong colors and displays very nicely overall (basically as a C. 8+/-), although protective outside front and back cover pages have some faint staining and creases, w/ some non-offensive hazy scattered glue remnants on a few of the inside images. Note: Lot also includes a graded baseball card from set (John M. Ward).
