Product Description
Brownie Scroll Puzzles: Impressive, very early (© 1891) boxed set of two different lithographed cardboard puzzles by McLaughlin Bros., featuring beautiful multi-color graphics of Palmer Cox illustrated Brownie characters on the two separate puzzles and box cover (box is wood framed w/ cardboard lid and base). Puzzles and box are clean, bright and very attractive in appearance (a strong C. 8++), although bottom box is missing small inner edge that secures outer cover. Both of the 24 ps. puzzles are complete, although two of the pieces have lost the bottom layer of cardboard (so slightly thinner than others and two pieces have repaired breaks).

Size: 10.75 x 13.25 (puzzles measure 9 x 12)
Date of Sale: 10/17/15
