Impressive looking, scarce, early tin litho store tin for Hoyt & Co.’s (Amesbury, MA) ÒPowowÓ brand peanuts featuring great image of Co.’s trademark Indian chief. Body has bright colors and displays very nicely on shelf (basically as a C. 8/+), although close examination will show some light oxidizing and scattered dark spots and wear in background. Bottom side (base) has some fairly heavy scattered oxidizing including several holes (critical grade C. 7.5/+), w/ darkening and general wear on lid (lid C. 7/-). As found, might improve a bit w/ cleaning.
