Victory Gardens Patriotic Poster: Ca. 1918 paper litho WW I poster w/ beautiful graphic image by illustrator James Montgomery Flagg, of Miss LIberty sewing garden seeds (issued by the National War Garden Commission to encourage citizens to plant vegetable gardens to help the war effort). Piece is clean, bright and displays nicely (basically displays as a C. 8+), although close examination will show a few non-offensive faint crease/roll marks; a few tack holes and backside reinforcement at upper corner edges; and a small 5 x 2″ area of reinforcement and repair in left outer white background area which includes a couple small paper loss spots at very outer edge (critical grade C. 7.5/+, but displays much better than this implies).
