Although we run primarily Internet based auctions, we can also enter competitive “up-to” bids by mail, fax or email on the enclosed bid sheet or phone. We are running these auctions in addition to the Wm Morford Premier Sales. All items in this sale are curated and described by William Morford (of Wm Morford Auctions) and are guaranteed to be authentic and as described. We have used brief lot descriptions on these pages- much more detailed descriptions and additional images for most lots can be found on our auction website (Live.AntiqueAdvertising.com) or on our mobile app. We attempt to grade condition both fairly and conservatively using a scale of 1-10 (10 being absolutely mint). We do not list reproductions, re-issues or deceptively restored items (occasionally, a well restored piece might be included in one of our sales, but in these instances this will be noted in our description). Any flaws and/or blemishes will be prominently noted and over emphasized in our website descriptions. Dimensions are listed by height then width and are only approximate (+ or – 1⁄4”). We hope you enjoy this sale and welcome any feedback you may have.

Bidding

All bids are a legal contract to purchase and once entered cannot be canceled. Placement of any bid indicates acceptance of all terms of sale.

Mail, Fax and Email Absentee Bidding

For those of you who are not able to use the Internet or mobile devices for your bidding, we are happy to accept absentee bids from you if placed on our absentee bidding sheet. Bids are accepted only from those parties who have registered with us to bid. Even though AntiqueAdvertising.com is a separate brand, if you are a known bidder or customer of the Wm Morford Absentee Auctions in good standing, you have been pre-approved for mail, fax and email left “Up To” bids in this sale. These bids will get entered into the auctions bidding software in a discreet and competitive manner for you. If bidding by mail or fax, please remember to include your name and telephone number with your bids. To ensure that we have time to enter any absentee (fax, mail and email) left “Up To” bids, we will need to receive them by no later than 2 PM (Eastern Time) on closing day to ensure we have time to enter them all before the lots begin closing at 7 PM on the auction site. These absentee bids will be entered into the auctions bidding software in batches and they will not necessarily be entered or reflected right away. You’re welcome to send these absentee bids anytime after receiving this catalog. This is an exclusively absentee auction, which will not have phone bidding, however you are welcome to call us should you have questions regarding lot descriptions, bidding procedures or if you have incurred any problems establishing or setting up your on-line bidding account.

Reserves, Estimates and Bidding Increments

All items pictured in this printed auction catalog will have a minimum opening bid of only $20. Additional uncatalogued discovery items have been added to the auction site, with minimum opening bids of only $10 each. Once any item opens, it will move in $10 increments throughout the auction and will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of the price realized, with a strict policy of no buybacks, no auctioneer games, and no hidden reserves. Unlike many auctions, consignors are not allowed to bid on their own items!

Auction Structure and Lot Closing

Starting at 7 PM (Eastern Time) on closing night a closing clock will begin for each lot. This clock counts down until no new bids have been received for 10 minutes, at which time the item will close. Each time a new bid is entered on a lot, the closing clock will reset to 10 minutes for that piece. Once no bids have been placed for 10 minutes the lot will close. It is important to frequently refresh your browser (using circular arrow button) to be sure you are viewing the most up to date bids.
